Marketplace Documentation

Oqtane is a CMS and App Framework which can be extended with modules and themes to provide additional functionality and customization. This extensibility model provides an opportunity for Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) to develop off-the-shelf (OTS) products for consumers. Products which are registered in the Oqtane Marketplace are discoverable by Oqtane users and can be purchased and installed seamlessly using an integrated "app store" approach.

Products can be offered under either an open source or commercial license. Commercial extensions usually need to include a licensing capability to provide access to authorized customers. ISV's can utilize their own licensing solutions within their products, or they can take advantage of the integrated licensing solution which is included by the Oqtane Marketplace.
